Top 10 Stocking Stuffers for Christmas 2015!

Seasons Greetings everyone!  Hopefully everyone has had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  Since it is the day after, and no doubt people are already planning and possibly out and about doing their holiday shopping, I'm bringing you a very special segment today on my Top 10 Stocking Stuffer games for Christmas!  This is a recommended list that I have put together to carefully consider what has been, and is currently hot right now in the gaming market.  I've done my thorough research for this segment.  I've carefully considered box size, price range, popularity of the game from both past and present releases so I hope this list will be a useful preparation tool for you as Christmas is quickly approaching!  Read on to see my top ten recommended stocking stuffer games!

The following games are not intended to be in any particular order based on popularity and overall rating, just my top ten list.  I am including hyperlinks on the game titles for your convenience so you have a direct link to the product page.  I have verified that each of these games from Amazon's website include either free shipping and or free shipping for purchases over 35.00 as of 11/27/2015
If you're interested in any of these, order quickly because Amazon tends to increase their prices the closer Christmas approaches.

1)  Eminent Domain: Microcosm
The micro version of the original Eminent Domain tabletop game, Microcosm is an excellent little card version of a deck-building game with great artwork and sci-fi theme.

2)  Welcome to the Dungeon
A fun little cartoon style fantasy game where players venture into the dungeon to see who can survive the longest.

3)  Hanabi
Winner of the 2013 Spiel des Jahres award dubbing it the game of the year, Hanabi is a truly unique approach to card games, almost backwards you could say.  The most important trait to Hanabi is cooperative communication around the table where everyone works together to build the greatest fireworks show without getting blown up.

4)  Marvel Dice Masters: Age of Ultron
The latest release in the Dice Masters universe is Age of Ultron and just like other Dice Masters games, it offers great execution of attacking your opponents through dice rolling, and it's thematically sound with great artwork!

5)  Tides of Time
An excellent little 2 player card drafting game where you are trying to collect the most efficient combination of castles to receive the most points over three rounds.  It's small, it's quick, it carries absolutely stunning artwork and plays in about 20 minutes.

6)  Sushi GO!
Another little card drafting game, not new however since it released in 2013, but it's still a really solid game for all ages and provides fun drafting mechanics, adorable cartoonish artwork for kids, but a game that everyone can enjoy!

7)  Star Realms
A fast-paced, sci-fi themed deck-building game that battles around 4 different types of factions in space, absolutely incredible artwork, and ultra portability.

8)  Red7
A great filler card game similar to UNO but for smart people.

9)  Batman Love Letter
Based off of the Love Letter series for 2 - 4 players, Batman Love Letter is a bluffing, deduction card game like the other Love Letter games except with an obvious theme change as well as really cool batman tokens and great artwork for the comic book geek in you!

10)  Dead Man's Draw
An exciting little pirate themed card game for 2 - 4 players.  A very simple game that can be played in 10 - 15 minutes where you are drawing cards and combining their special abilities to plunder the most loot without blowing your entire hand.

I hope this list is helpful as you are prepping in advance, and if you have any questions, please be sure to post them below.  Happy Hunting!

  3. Happy to help! If you're interested in any of these games, hopefully you have already ordered them. As I mentioned in this post, Amazon tends to increase their prices considerably higher as we get closer to Christmas and I can definitely confirm it now. I just visited the links again ever since this post, and Welcome to the Dungeon has increased by 10.00! Marvel Dice Masters Age of Ultron has also increased 10.00, and the rest have gone up several dollars a piece. Some of the prices are still pretty decent, but like I said, hopefully you and other viewers already ordered them by now. This is exactly why I posted this segment the day after Thanksgiving. ;) Gotta look out for the people! Claire and I wish everyone a merry Christmas!
